Who We Are
History of MERLOT
Learn how MERLOT, the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching, was founded. Read how MERLOT is advancing the current collaborative framework, exploring a variety of business models, and developing its sustainability plan to serve the current and future academic technology needs of faculty, students, staff, and institutions.
Editors Council
The Editors Council is made up of the Editor from each discipline community within MERLOT. Currently there are 18 Editorial Boards, with more planned for the near future.
Editorial Boards
All MERLOT Editorial Board Members are faculty and are the cornerstone of MERLOT. They lead the development of MERLOT's 18 Discipline Communities, one Editorial Board for each community. These boards are comprised of Peer Reviewers, Associate Editors and Editors.
Project Directors
The Project Directors’ Council is comprised of all of the Project Directors (System Partners) and Campus Liaisons (Individual Campus Partners). Project Directors have critical responsibilities in managing their institution’s participation in MERLOT and MERLOT’s connection to their institution’s academic technology initiatives.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board sets the direction for MERLOT in the future and determines what major projects will be implemented. The MERLOT Advisory Board is comprised of representatives of some MERLOT Partner organizations, responsible for the development and implementation of the MERLOT business plan, among other tasks.
